Black unique meadow bowl

Black unique bowl meadow is a product of pottery art clay design by Polona Zajc. It is a handmade black bowl with a painting, rolled on a pottery spindle from black stoneware. The rim is trimmed in some places. Inside, a typical pottery art pattern is carved. The exterior is glazed with black glaze, the interior is richly painted in various shades. It is fired at a temperature of 1220 °C, when the black clay turns to black stoneware. The bowl is 25 cm in diameter and 10 cm high.

Pottery art clay design by Polona Zajc has a line of unique clay bowls in its product collection. This line includes unique clay bowls for the home or kitchen. They can be made as ceramics or as stoneware. Here you will find a wide variety of shapes, colours and sizes of bowls, handmade on a potter's spindle or cast in plaster moulds of your own making. All are hand-painted and some are hand-perforated with holes of various sizes. The result is a beautiful pattern typical of pottery art. Some of the unique clay bowls have details accentuated with real gold, giving them a solemn and, above all, precious touch. The gold is applied by hand, with a brush, and is completely durable, as it is fired with a third firing at 800°C.

Unique bowl with meadow motif

The unique bowl with meadow motif is handmade on a pottery spindle. When the clay hardens after turning, I cut the rim in some places. I carve lines in the almost dry clay on the surface of the bowl. This creates the outlines of meadow flowers in the clay. I paint it with different shades of matt glazes which, when fired, conjure up a fairy-tale floral image. A bowl with a richly painted interior is mainly decorative, as it is a pity to hide the interior with the contents. However, its quality lies in the fact that it can be used for serving food, as the paint applied is of high quality, fired at a high temperature and therefore durable whatever the use. It can be washed in the dishwasher without any consequences.
