Handmade oval clay baking tray is part of the series clay baking trays for baking in the oven, pottery art clay design by Polona Zajc. It is made according to the traditional process on a pottery spindle. The oval clay baking tray is made of dark brown clay, which tolerates the temperature fluctuations of the oven baking process well. It is fired at 1050°C and glazed on the food contact surfaces with a suitable glaze (traceability mark LOT 16). Length 22cm, width 18cm.

The small ceramic oval baking tray is made in the traditional way. It is spun on a potter's spindle and, after a short drying period, is transformed into an oval shape. It is hand-painted on the sides and two sturdy handles are added for practical use when the baking tray is hot. It is made of the highest quality clay, which withstands temperature fluctuations well when baked in the oven. This ensures that the ceramic does not crack when in use. The glaze with which the baking tray is coated is adapted to the clay and allows the tray not to absorb grease. This ensures that the quality of the baking tray remains even after a long period of use. The smaller baking tray with handles is smooth inside to prevent food from sticking to the surface when baking. It is smaller in size and therefore suitable for preparing food for one or two.
