30 years later is an event that marks 30 years of my professional career in 2025. In 1995, I decided that pottery would be my independent profession. Of course, I had already been working with ceramics for almost ten years at that time. Based on this experience, going independent was a logical choice. A few years earlier, I had set up a nice workshop at home in Menge\u0161 and bought a kiln for firing clay. So everything was ready. The biggest challenge at the time, as it is today, was of course getting orders and selling products. In the beginning, I participated in various fairs, where I sold my products at stands. I obtained orders mainly through word of mouth. At that time, my products were mainly traditional pots. I used classic red clay, simply glazed with a transparent glaze. At that time, the market for materials was not yet developed in our country. For better materials, you had to go abroad. Well, for a while, business flourished in this way.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

I started using colored glazes when I received a special order. A company came up with the idea of having a product that I had never made before. For the first time, I used white clay and colored glazes. I made the first model out of plaster for their logo. And the spread of colors in my workshop was unstoppable. At the same time, a number of suppliers of various materials for making ceramics appeared on the market. In addition to traditional pottery, I began to make more precise products. I also used plaster models to help me with the design, which I made and still make myself.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Pottery Art brand<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Pottery Art brand was created even before the website appeared. I had already been labeling my products with this name for quite some time. During this period, custom-made products became increasingly difficult to produce. The quality of the material also improved, and the firing process changed to high temperature. I began to produce truly high-quality, unique pieces. As a result, the customers who appreciate such products also changed. A website and online store were created. The products are grouped under the name pottery art, clay design by Polona Zajc. And here I am 30 years later.
