Unique bowl in shades of black and brown

Unique bowl of black brown shades is a product of pottery art clay design by Polona Zajc. It is a handmade black and brown bowl. It is made on a pottery spindle from black clay. It is glazed with a dark brown glaze, in some places it shades into light brown. The bowl is fired at a temperature of 1220°C, when the black clay turns to stoneware. This is an extremely hard and high-quality material, which gives the product a special charm. The bowl is 27 cm in diameter and 10 cm high.

All are hand-painted and some are hand-perforated with holes of various sizes. The result is a beautiful pattern typical of pottery art. Some of the unique clay bowls have details accentuated with real gold, giving them a solemn and, above all, precious touch. The gold is applied by hand, with a brush, and is completely durable, as it is fired with a third firing at 800°C.

Bowl in shades of black and brown

The Black and Brown Bowl is a special bowl. It is drilled on a potter's spindle in such a way that concentric circles are visible. As the ball of clay spins on the spindle, I slide my fingers over the wet clay, creating an even pattern of circles from the inside out. This pattern is accentuated by the iridescent brown glaze, which goes from a light brown, almost drape-like colour, to a completely dark, almost black colour. The result is a beautifully unique table bowl. It is designed for serving cakes, biscuits, fruit or anything else. Or it can just decorate the ambience in which it is placed with its own special feature.
