Slovenian The Solar Labyrinth
The Sun Labyrinth is the oldest and best-known type of labyrinth. Its associated element is fire, and its colors are gold, copper, and fiery orange. Its direction is east, and its natural form is expressive. The Labyrinth of Power represents and fosters personal power. This is the power that involves the ability to realize and materialize a specific idea through a specific activity. The path to the center of the Labyrinth of Power is an inner journey toward our true self or soul.
Pottery art clay design by Polona Zajc
Polona Zajc’s “Pottery Art” clay design collection also includes ceramic and stoneware pieces featuring the Labyrinth of Power or the Solar Labyrinth. These symbols are depicted on functional vessels, jewelry, wall hangings, and other items. Their presence adds value to the objects.
The Usefulness of the Labyrinth of Power
The usefulness of the Labyrinth of Power lies in the fact that it acts as a catalyst for inner strength, personal status, and self-confidence. It will be used by all those who lack the personal strength for certain endeavors, and it will also benefit individuals who wish to improve their status in society. The purpose of its receptive form, however, is for people who already hold certain positions and have a certain status to eliminate the negative aspects of their power and smooth out the rough edges that bother others. The Solar Labyrinth is connected to overall health; it will strengthen the body and make it resistant to disease. It acts as a sort of energy receiver and transmitter in the environment where it is present. The application of the Labyrinth of Power on ceramic pieces—pottery art and clay designs by Polona Zajc—thus fulfills its intended purpose.
