The Moon Labyrinth on a Figurine
The Moon Labyrinth on a Figurine is part of a series of labyrinths carved into ceramic figurines. The ceramic works by Polona Zajc’s “Pottery Art: Clay Design” also feature depictions of labyrinths of all kinds. This particular labyrinth is the Labyrinth of Sensations, or the Moon Labyrinth, in its natural, receptive form. The figurine is handcrafted from black clay, with the shape of the Moon Labyrinth carved into it. It is fired at a temperature of 1210°C. The clay figurine is glazed in a soft white matte glaze, while the labyrinth is glazed with a shimmering, iridescent sky-blue glaze. The details are accented with real gold. The figurine is 22 cm tall. The labyrinth design gives the piece special significance, both for the person wearing it and for the surroundings in which it is placed.
Pottery art clay design by Polona Zajc
Polona Zajc’s pottery art clay designs include clay figurines in her collection. Each clay sculpture represents its own form of a labyrinth. These are sources of power that are very much active. Having power does not mean having access to a large amount of energy, but also having access to a great deal of intelligence. And this is how labyrinths work. Usually, they are built on the ground so that one can walk along their paths. On these pages, however, you’ll find labyrinths depicted in ceramics. We can also “walk” through these as we follow their paths, drawn or carved into the clay.
Labyrinth of emotions
The Labyrinth of Emotions, or the Moon Labyrinth, is one of the oldest forms of the labyrinth. Its design is based on one of humanity’s oldest symbols: the spiral. Emotions and feelings accompany us throughout our lives. The truth is that we rely on them without exception. That is why balanced emotions are extremely important for successful interaction with others, as well as for our relationship with ourselves. Instability in this area leads to hypersensitivity, agitation, and anxiety. Consequently, all of this affects our behavior. This natural, receptive form of the Moon’s Labyrinth will create inner emotional stability, strengthen our understanding of others, enhance our spiritual sensitivity, and deepen our compassion in how we treat and accept others. The Labyrinth of Feelings will always draw people to it. The Moon Labyrinth sculpture is particularly suitable for places in need of healing.
