Mars Labyrinth on a Pendant is a ceramic jewellery from the Pottery Art ceramic series by Polona Zajc. It is a pendant with a cord and a clasp, representing the Labyrinth of Energy or the Labyrinth of Mars in receptive form. It is made as a plaster cast of a model of her own making, made of red clay, glazed and fired at 1040°C. Diameter 3,5 cm, cord length 22 or 27 cm. The relief of the labyrinth in the characteristic red colour gives the jewellery meaning for the wearer as well as for the surroundings in which it is placed.

The Labyrinth of Energy, or Mars Labyrinth, has a heart-shaped centre. And the essence of this labyrinth is really about the heart, courage, commitment, ideals, protection and justice. Every now and then we all find ourselves in a situation where we need to throw off old clothes, uproot old patterns and abandon old ways of living. If we are to embrace the new, the old must die in some way. To do this we need strength and courage, and in this sense the Energy Labyrinth helps us. Its expressive form will stimulate all these positive qualities, but since there are many negative factors, it is wiser to choose the receptive form, as presented in the present labyrinth. This eliminates them, for we all know the problems of restlessness, tension, inner insecurity, aggression, destructiveness and quarrelsomeness.
