Unique small clay vase

This unique small clay vase is a pottery art creation by Polona Zajc. It is made on a potter's wheel from gray clay. The surface is engraved with a characteristic pottery art pattern of lines, which is hand-painted with a brown shade of glaze. The neck of the vase is pleated and suitable for a spring bouquet of the first flowers. The ceramic vase is fired at a temperature of 1220°C. At this temperature, the clay turns into stoneware, an extremely hard and high-quality material that holds water. The stoneware vase will not leave marks on the surface where it is placed. It is 10 cm high.
