Description
A unique red clay bowl
This unique red clay bowl is a pottery art piece created by Polona Zajc. The spherical red bowl is made using a technique that involves pouring liquid clay into a plaster mold she crafted herself. It is made of gray clay, fired at a temperature of 1220°C, during which the clay transforms into stoneware. A pattern characteristic of pottery art is hand-carved into the surface. It is glazed in a matte red-pink glaze. The handcrafted red bowl has a diameter of 15 cm and is 12 cm tall.
Pottery art clay design by Polona Zajc
Pottery Art by Polona Zajc features a line of unique clay bowls in its product collection. This line includes one-of-a-kind clay bowls for the home, including a unique red clay bowl. They can be made as ceramic or stoneware. Here you’ll find a wide variety of shapes, colors, and sizes of bowls, hand-made on a potter’s wheel or cast in custom-made plaster molds. All are hand-painted, and some are also hand-perforated with holes of various sizes. This creates a beautiful pattern characteristic of pottery art products. Some unique clay bowls feature details accented with real gold, giving them a festive and, above all, precious touch. The gold is applied by hand with a brush and is completely durable, as it is fired during a third firing at 800°C.
Patterned Stoneware Bowl
This patterned stoneware bowl is an elegant red bowl shaped like a partial sphere. A beautiful pattern, characteristic of Polona Zajc’s pottery art, stretches across the surface. The red-pink matte glaze highlights the hand-carved pattern, which gives the bowl its uniqueness and irreplaceability, as each line is carved completely at random, without a pre-planned design. The fragility of the bowl is only apparent, as the stoneware from which it is made is an extremely hard and durable material. This unique red clay bowl is just that. A one-of-a-kind, irreplaceable, handcrafted piece of stoneware that will bring a touch of beauty to any space where it is placed.
