Corrugated beige bowl with coloured rim

Wavy beige bowl with coloured rim is a product of pottery art clay design by Polona Zajc. It is a unique beige bowl, handmade on a pottery spindle from white clay. It has a characteristic pottery art pattern sculpted along the wavy rim, hand-painted with different glazes. The interior is coated with a beige semi-gloss glaze. The bowl is fired at 1050 °C. It measures 17 cm in diameter and 6 cm in height.

Pottery art clay design by Polona Zajc has a line of unique clay bowls in its product collection. This line includes unique clay bowls for the home or kitchen. They can be made as ceramics or as stoneware. Here you will find a wide variety of shapes, colours and sizes of bowls, handmade on a potter's spindle or cast in plaster moulds of your own making. All are hand-painted and some are hand-perforated with holes of various sizes. The result is a beautiful pattern typical of pottery art. Some of the unique clay bowls have details accentuated with real gold, giving them a solemn and, above all, precious touch. The gold is applied by hand, with a brush, and is completely durable, as it is fired with a third firing at 800°C.

The clay bowl with wavy coloured rim is a unique ceramic bowl. I rolled the white clay on a potter's spindle until the shape of the bowl was formed. While slowly rotating, I slid my fingers around the rim and gently reshaped it into a wavy form. After a short drying time, I carved an interlace of lines around the rim and a distinctive pattern emerged. Later, after the first firing, I hand-painted each space in the pattern with different glazes. Combined with the predominant beige glaze, the result is a beautiful, variegated bowl. The clay bowl with its wavy coloured rim is a decorative bowl that is enough in itself to make a room interesting. But it can also be used to serve or store dry food such as fruit, cakes, nuts, biscuits, etc. With its soft beige colour and its fluted, colourful edge, it is an interesting and completely unique piece of ceramics.
