Unique round ceramic vase

This unique round ceramic vase is a pottery art piece designed by Polona Zajc. It is a handcrafted clay sphere with an insert that holds water. The sphere is made of black clay and glazed with a shimmering blue glaze. Concentric circles are carved into its surface, further accentuated by the flowing glaze. The clay is fired at a temperature of 1200°C, at which point it transforms into stoneware. This is an extremely hard and non-porous material that retains water. The sphere, or vase, has a diameter of 14 cm.

Blue Ceramic Ball

The blue ceramic ball is a handcrafted clay ball. The clay ball features concentric circles carved into its surface, where a shimmering blue glaze blends into a lighter glaze along the rim. The round shell has a clay insert in the center, which ensures that the vase holds water. It also provides stability, as it is considerably heavier than the round shell surrounding it. The deep blue, shimmering glaze resembles the sea, which, upon contact with droplets, ripples in concentric circles that spread across the sphere. The vase is intended for home decoration; even without flowers, it is intriguing, and above all, unusual due to its round shape. It is made entirely by hand. Each piece is unique and one-of-a-kind. With its deep blue color rippling across the sphere, it will fit beautifully into classic home interiors, while adding a touch of elegance to modern settings.
